Hadi Temraz: “Your friend in the car business”

My parents arrived to Canada on July 15 1959 where they owned and operated “Temraz Brothers” grocery store on 82nd street here in Edmonton.

I arrived to Edmonton in 1989. I enrolled in grade 10, and I graduated in 1993. High School was the best time of my life, the memories will be way too much to share on a few pages.

I joined the work force at a very early age, I was only 14 years old. My first job was at McDonald's Restaurant where I worked in many positions. Then I joined Wendy's, Swiss Chalet, Fantasy Land Hotel, Seven Eleven, at one time I was a security guard at Metropolitan Security, and in 1994 I worked at Lafarge Canada as a laborer.

In 1996 I was involved in a big car accident, I got hit by a semi and due to my critical conditions I couldn’t work for 2 years as I suffered back, neck and many other injuries.

This forced me to go to Northern Alberta Institute of Technology where I enrolled in Aircraft Skin and Structure Repair and I graduated in 1998. The same month I graduated SPAR laid off 1800 employees and there were no job openings. The only place that was hiring was Kelowna International Airport but I couldn’t get my parents approval at the time to go.

I started working at Moores the Suite People as a sales representative in 1998, and I became their top sales representative in a very short period of time. I provided my customers with extraordinary service, I was so accurate with hemming their pants and suits, and I grew to the point that I had a line up of loyal clients and referrals that only wanted to deal with me!

I was introduced to the Automotive Industry in 1999 after a Local Dealership sales manager came in to purchase some clothing and offered me a position in sales.

In September 23 2000 I got married and shortly after on July Friday the 13th I was blessed with my first newborn baby boy “Socrates”.

I didn’t have a chance to see my son until he was 6 months old, as their paperwork to come in to Canada was delayed due to the horrifying incident of September 11. That was one of the most low times of my life, it was very difficult to meet your first newborn only through pictures!

My family arrived in Canada on June 21 2003. On April 01 I got blessed with my second baby boy “Hermes".

I have learned to enjoy his presence since day one especially because of the fact that I didn’t have a chance to share that with my older son “Socrates”. They are both the source of my joy and laughter, they are my hope, the center of gravity in my life, and the reason that I wake up every morning and say: "hey world here I come!".

I have been married for over 23 years to the most amazing women that I  have ever met, she is the wings to my dreams.

I wouldn’t have made it this far without her love and support, she is simply the best thing that ever happened to me.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Everybody has different hobbies that they enjoy, and so do I. I love learning new things, collecting new ideas, researching and developing new skills. Some of these skills have proven very useful in my career, and some are just for me to enjoy. Here we are going to talk about the private ones. The ones that make my life better, and help me decompress at the end of a long day. 

I love spending time with my kids, they are the center of my world, we do a lot of things together from playing PS4 to XBOX Kinect to playing Monopoly, Q.Bitz, Tracktic, Game Of Life, Chess, and to hitting the Do-jang for some Taekwondo fun.

I enjoy reading, there are so many great things found in books, and the more I read the more I realize how little I know. This is where I find serenity and comfort. Some of my favorite books are:

I have got the favor of God, and I give him all of the glory for helping be where I am today. I owe my success to my valued customers, I couldn't have done it without their trust and support.

Through out my 24 years in the car business I have been fortunate to help over 5,100 families get happily involved in finding their dream vehicle. I am committed to excellence and I strive to improve daily. I have so much passion for the Automotive business and I enjoy meeting and serving every one of my previous and new customers.
